New leadership to rejuvenate Lowery's reputation

by Molly Winters

The Lowery Ledger, our township’s longest-running periodical, has a new owner whose name might be familiar.

“Richard Erskin’s tenure with the Ledger was nothing short of masterful,” Elizabeth Crane told the town council. “I look forward to following in his footsteps and restoring the integrity of our rich history.”

Given her multitude of local positions, Mrs. Crane could well be accused of carrying our entire infrastructure on her shoulders. While she did not elaborate on any immediate plans, sources suggest the Ledger will in fact be halting publication immediately. It is anticipated to be a temporary step during a short transitional phase.

Richard Erskin has retired to Florida to enjoy a well-deserved rest, bringing along not just his wife Kathleen, but his beloved son Paul.

We wish them a life free of trouble.
