Corrections and apologies
by Paul Erskin
Dear readers, I hope you can accept my apology. In my mad fever to explore tall tales, it would seem I may have caused some offense.
Let me be clear: in no way do I mean to question the necessity of our curfew, nor do I condone or encourage anyone who may break it.
Similarly, I have not meant to imply that local tragedies are something to be gawked at and made light of. I merely enjoy history and mysteries. My intention was to celebrate Lowery, though I’ve been accused of demonizing it.
I am sorry. I must also apologize to my father whose only mistake was allowing his boy to try (and fail) at something he always dreamed of doing.
Lowery is a beautiful place to live, and it deserves more respect than I have afforded it.
Will I continue this series of articles? Yes. In fact, next week I plan to conclude this column with one final story, intended to celebrate the “untamable spirit” of our way of life, as my father puts it. These are stories I believe deserve to be told, though perhaps I should not be the one to tell them.
Thank you for allowing me to grow and evolve.
Please consider your responses carefully.

I can’t comment on Molly Winters’ most recent post. Please publish Paul’s last article so we can see the conclusion to this series. Or let us know how we can reach out to him in Florida. Thanks!
